Baku:President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of the Emergency Department at Garabagh University Clinic on November 7.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rector Shahin Bayramov and General Director Samir Babayev briefed President Aliyev on the modern facilities established at the clinic. The department has been reconstructed with updated engineering and communication systems, aligning with contemporary standards.

The emergency department is equipped with resuscitation and pediatric units, patient wards, and medicine storage, alongside service rooms to support daily operations. It features state-of-the-art medical equipment and advanced engineering infrastructure to enhance functionality and operational efficiency. Ambulances equipped for resuscitation and intensive care are available for transferring patients to specialized institutions as needed.

The clinic accommodates 70 inpatient beds, including five for intensive care. The Emergency Department houses 19 additional beds and five operating rooms, allowing simultaneous accommodation of 70 inpatients and 19 emergency patients.

By 2027, the clinic aims to employ between 230 and 250 staff members. Its mission extends beyond providing medical services, aspiring to become a leading center integrating medical education, clinical practice, and research.
