Indonesian Ambassador Visits Khankendi, Explores Reconstruction Efforts

Khankendi: On April 15, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Azerbaijan Berlian Helmi visited Khankendi as part of his trip to Karabakh, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts reported that Gasim Ibrahimov, an advisor to the President's special representation, informed the ambassador about ongoing reconstruction work, renewed infrastructure, and the return of residents.

The ambassador, who visited Khankendi for the first time, expressed his admiration for the city. After familiarizing himself with the city, Helmi also visited Karabakh University, where he reviewed the library and classrooms.

Prior to Khankendi, Helmi visited the city of Shusha. He emphasized that the twinning of one of Indonesia's cities with Shusha in the future could make a valuable contribution to relations between the two countries.
