According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Infantino expressed his honor and humility in declaring his candidacy for the FIFA presidential election scheduled for next year. The electoral period for the presidential election has officially commenced, marking the beginning of Infantino's campaign for re-election.

The 77th FIFA Congress, where the election will take place, is set to be held on March 18, 2027, in Rabat, Morocco.
