Info Tour Highlights Reconstruction Efforts in Azerbaijan’s Shusha City

Shusha: Another info tour to the city of Shusha was organized by the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, with the support of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district. The Press Service of the State Committee informed APA about this recent development.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, a group of former internally displaced persons, involved in income-generating activities as part of the First State Program on the Great Return, participated in the tour. They inspected the city and received updates on the restoration and reconstruction works currently underway, along with the new employment opportunities being created.

It was highlighted that, following the directives of President Ilham Aliyev and the State Program, extensive reconstruction efforts are being executed in the city. Infrastructure is being revitalized, and essential conditions are being established for residents and workers. During the tour, participants visited historical and natural sites in Shusha, gaining insight into the arrangements made for internally displaced families returning to their homeland under the Great Return initiative.

Former internally displaced persons expressed that the info tour was extremely useful and informative. It was emphasized that such tours play a vital role in understanding the progress of the Great Return, the ongoing process of permanent settlement in the region, and integration into economic activities, while also aiding in future planning. Info tours to other liberated territories will continue as part of the Action Plan of the First State Program on the Great Return.
