Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues to fulfill its responsibilities, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergency situations.

Thus, over the past day, according to the calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, rescue operations were carried out by the relevant agencies of the Ministry on 79 fire accidents, 8 cases of helplessness and 2 traffic accidents. As a result of the taken quick and urgent measures, the fires were extinguished operatively and people’s lives were saved.

In total, over the past day, 7 people, including 22 people, including 3 children and 3 traffic accident participants were rescued by MES forces, 4 people were poisoned by smoke during the fire. Also, in the Yasamal district, Baku, the body of a person was found behind a closed door and handed over appropriately.
