Tashkent: Uzbekistan's Center for Progressive Reforms, in collaboration with the Azerbaijan Caspian Analytical Center, is developing a new information platform designed to enhance trade between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. Mirshohid Aslanov, CEO and co-founder of the center, provided insights into this initiative during a recent interaction with journalists, as reported by APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the initiative follows directives from the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to boost their mutual trade turnover to $1 billion. By the end of the previous year, the trade volume between the two countries had already surpassed $800 million.

Aslanov elaborated on the project's objectives, stating, "We are working on an information platform that will help businesses better understand market opportunities and make use of the existing potential. Analytical centers will provide entrepreneurs with the information necessary to access the markets of both countries. The available analytics allow us to say with confidence that our potential already exceeds $1 billion."

The development of the platform utilizes the existing ots.proreforms.uz resource from Uzbekistan's Center for Progressive Reforms, which offers statistics on the Organization of Turkic States. "Based on this platform, we want to show how Turkic states can develop trade and economic relations based on real data and demonstrate how analytical centers can support this process," Aslanov emphasized.
