Baku: Insurance premiums for the first 10 months of 2025 amounted to 1.256 million manat, and insurance payments amounted to 773 million manat, said Chairman of the Central Bank, Taleh Kazimov, during the discussion of the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026” at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis today, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Chairman of the Central Bank stated that insurance premiums increased by 12.9%, and insurance payments rose by 24.2% compared to the same period last year. Of the total insurance premiums, 76% were attributed to voluntary insurance types while 24% were to compulsory insurance. Additionally, 57% of insurance premiums were collected in the life insurance sector, with the remaining 43% in the non-life insurance sector.
“In the 10 months of 2025, the total volume of trading turnover in the securities market increased by 7% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 55 billion manat. The volume of transactions carried out in the government securities market during the period was 8.9 billion manat. During the reporting period, an issue of 17 billion manat was carried out under state registration of securities, and 74 corporate bond issues were approved,” Taleh Kazimov noted.
