International Travelers Commence Visit to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur Regions

FUZULI: A delegation of 33 international travelers from the British club Piki Reels has commenced a visit to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions. The group, led by Belgian citizen Yves Bouvier, began their journey on Saturday at the Fuzuli International Airport, which serves as the main air gateway to Karabakh.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation’s three-day itinerary includes visits to several districts, namely Fuzuli, Khojavand, Shusha, Khojali, Aghdam, Kalbajar, Lachin, Gubadli, Zangilan, and Jabrayil. This visit is part of a broader initiative that has, over the past four years, seen large delegations from major international travel networks visit the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions eleven times. In total, these trips have attracted over 400 international travelers from more than 50 countries.

The initiative aims to promote Azerbaijan’s liberated territories through ‘black tourism,’ showcasing the historical and cultural significance of these areas.
