Istanbul: On June 5, the International Turkic Academy organized a high-level scientific and cultural event at the Research Center for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) in Istanbul, Trkiye. The event aimed to bring together experts and scholars to explore the shared history, language, literature, and culture of Turkic peoples.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Shahin Mustafayev, President of the Turkic Academy, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the academy's efforts in strengthening scientific cooperation across the Turkic world. He highlighted the implementation of numerous international projects covering a wide range of disciplines, including history, archaeology, ethnography, linguistics, international relations, and digital humanities.
Mahmud Erol Kili§, Director General of IRCICA, underscored the importance of academic research in preserving and studying shared cultural heritage. He expressed IRCICA's enthusiasm for expanding its institutional collaboration with the International Turkic Academy in the future, signaling a promising path for future joint initiatives.
The program included an exhibition featuring the academic publications of the International Turkic Academy, showcasing the depth and breadth of research undertaken by the organization.
