Baku: As a result of technical optimization measures, monitoring and tests, intervals between trains in the Baku Metro are being reduced to a minimum, APA-Economics reports, citing Baku Metro CJSC.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, starting from September 15, trains on the Icherisheher-Ahmadli section will operate at 2-minute intervals during peak hours. This reduction aims to increase efficiency and accommodate the growing number of passengers utilizing the metro services during busy times.

On the Green Line, the interval between trains will be reduced from 3 minutes 30 seconds to 3 minutes when necessary. This adjustment is part of a broader initiative to enhance the capacity and reliability of metro services across the city.

For the Purple Line, a new schedule reflecting the autumn-winter transition will be implemented. A 5-minute interval will be applied on the Avtovaghzal-8 November section, while a 10-minute interval will be maintained on the Khojasan-Avtovaghzal section. These changes are designed to optimize train frequency in line with seasonal passenger demand.

During the new academic year, passenger flow on all lines will be closely monitored. Additional adjustments will be made if necessary to ensure that the metro system continues to meet the needs of its users effectively.
