Baku: In January-March this year, AZN 1.0377 billion were invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector, APA reports, citing the State Statistics Committee.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the volume of investments in the oil and gas sector decreased by 23.2% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024, which saw investments totaling AZN 1,351 million. This marks a significant decline in investment activity in the sector for the first quarter of the year.

For reference, total investments in the oil and gas sector in 2023 amounted to AZN 5.7387 billion, representing an 8.4% decrease from the previous year. This data indicates a continuing downward trend in investments within Azerbaijan’s crucial oil and gas industry.
