Investments in Non-Oil and Gas Sector Increase by Nearly 6% This Year

Baku: A total of AZN 9.2952 billion was invested in fixed capital in January-June this year, the State Statistical Committee said, APA-Economics reports. This figure is 13.8% higher compared to the corresponding period last year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the reporting period, investments in the non-oil and gas sector amounted to AZN 6.1316 billion, reflecting a 5.5% increase year-on-year. This growth signifies a substantial shift towards diversifying the economy and reducing reliance on the oil and gas sector.

The strategic move to bolster investments in the non-oil and gas sector aligns with the national economic agenda to foster sustainable growth and development.
