Investor Highlights Potential in Africa’s Rental Housing Sector

Abu dhabi: The rental housing market in African cities is emerging as one of the most promising investment opportunities, as highlighted by Olivia Nielsen, a representative of Miyamoto International. Speaking at the 'Capital, Capacity and Market Confidence' panel during the World Urban Forum (WUF13), Nielsen expressed strong confidence in the sector's future.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nielsen emphasized that if she had unlimited financial resources, she would choose to invest in Africa's rental housing market. She pointed out the rapid population growth in African cities, which is driving up land prices and presenting challenges for future housing construction. Despite these challenges, she identified the main concern for investors as the presence of solvent demand and the legal protection of investments.

Nielsen also stressed the importance of clearer risk assessments and the development of mechanisms to boost investor confidence as crucial steps for advancing the rental housing market in Africa.
