TEHRAN: Iran welcomes any Azerbaijani initiatives that aim to enhance bilateral cooperation in the energy and oil sectors, stated Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad during a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev on October 15, as reported by Trend News Agency.
According to Trend News Agency, Minister Paknejad emphasized the importance of energy and oil as key areas for expanding economic relations between Iran and Azerbaijan. He highlighted the recent establishment of a working group designed to fast-track cooperation in these sectors. The Iranian Oil Ministry has tasked its Department of International and Trade Relations with organizing this group to ensure effective collaboration.
Deputy Prime Minister Mustafayev echoed the sentiment, noting Azerbaijan’s commitment to advancing future economic projects with Iran. He also commended the formation of the joint working group, which aims to maintain focus on shared projects and strengthen the partnership between the two nations.
