Baku: Iran has not closed the Strait of Hormuz, Iran's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilou, stated during a press conference at the embassy. The ambassador clarified Iran's position regarding the strategic waterway, which is crucial for global oil shipments.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the ambassador emphasized that Iran continues to control movement in the area. He noted that measures have been implemented against certain tankers that violated regulations while navigating the route. However, he also indicated that if Iran's interests necessitate it, steps could be taken to close the strait.
