Iran Releases Currency Exchange Rates for September 3

Tehran: The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has released the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of September 3, according to Trend News Agency. The data reveals fluctuations in the value of various currencies, with 36 currencies appreciating and 10 depreciating compared to the previous day.

According to Trend News Agency, the official exchange rate for $1 is now 579,153 rials, reflecting an increase from 577,314 rials on September 2. Meanwhile, the euro has decreased slightly to 674,906 rials, down from 675,481 rials. Other notable changes include the British pound, which decreased to 775,473 rials from 781,832 rials, and the Kuwaiti dinar, which increased to 1,893,605 rials from 1,888,947 rials.

The CBI employs different systems for currency exchange, including the SANA system for currency exchange offices, where the euro and dollar are priced at 838,380 rials and 719,434 rials, respectively. Additionally, the NIMA scheme, designed for selling a percentage of foreign currency earned from exports, prices the euro at 813,962 rials and the dollar at 698,480 rials.

On the black market, the exchange rates differ significantly, with $1 valued at approximately 1,01 to 1,04 million rials, and one euro ranging from 1,17 to 1,20 million rials. These discrepancies highlight the ongoing volatility and complexity of Iran’s currency exchange landscape.
