Iran has returned the oil that was on the St Nicholas tanker, which was confiscated in January and was heading to Trkiye, the sources said, Trend reports.

‘The cargo was returned earlier this week after negotiations,’ one of them said. As another source noted, the oil was loaded onto the Turkish T. Semahat tanker near the island of Larak.

The tanker St Nicholas, flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, was seized on January 11 by a group of armed men while transporting about 145 thousand tons of oil.
