Iranian Foreign Minister Announces Investigation into Drone Attack on Nakhchivan

Baku: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi announced that an investigation has been launched into a recent drone attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, a territory of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the announcement came after a phone conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. During the call, Minister Bayramov condemned the drone attacks attributed to Iran, highlighting that such actions violate international law and could escalate regional tensions.

Minister Araghchi expressed concern over the drone strikes and assured that the Iranian government and military have initiated an inquiry into the matter. He conveyed wishes for a quick recovery for the injured civilians.

FM Bayramov emphasized Azerbaijan's expectation for an apology from Iran, a swift explanation of the investigation's findings, and the implementation of measures to prevent future incidents.
