Baku: 'I am delighted to visit this land and meet with my brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan,' said Zahra Pezeshkian, the daughter of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during an international conference in Baku focused on protecting children in the digital environment and enhancing international cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Zahra Pezeshkian reflected on her recent visit to Baku and Khankendi with her father, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, emphasizing their trip as a testament to the friendship and spiritual bond between Iran and Azerbaijan. She highlighted the shared historical, cultural, and religious roots and values that unite the two Muslim countries.
Zahra Pezeshkian stressed the importance of preserving the family institution, which she described as a key common value that holds a special place in the hearts of both nations' peoples. She remarked on the Islamic perspective, stating, 'We consider a woman to be the embodiment of beauty and dignity, and give her an important, formative role in the centre of the family, culture and education system.'
