Tehran: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for a series of strikes on 18 targets across the region, including significant military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. This announcement comes amidst escalating tensions between Iran and the United States.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the IRGC's statement detailed the use of 12 ballistic missiles targeting the Al-Azraq airbase in Jordan. This attack was directed at American fighter jets, including F-15s, F-16s, and F-35s, which were reportedly stationed at the base in preparation for potential actions against Iran. The IRGC claims that many of these aircraft have been destroyed.

Further details from the IRGC indicate that two airbases in Kuwait and one in Bahrain were also targeted. Notably, the site of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain was among the targets, with the IRGC noting substantial damage and impact from the strikes, which employed both ballistic missiles and drones.

The IRGC's statement emphasizes that these strikes were a direct response to recent attacks initiated by US forces against Tehran, occurring in one or two waves during the night.
