IsDB Chairman Reflects on Re-Election and Continued Commitment

Baku: "I not only feel honored, but also deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and my team at the Islamic Development Bank," Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group Muhammad Al Jasser said during the session titled 'An Open Conversation with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group' held as part of the Islamic Development Bank Annual Meetings in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Al Jasser expressed that his re-election by the Boards of Governors signifies both an honor and a responsibility. He acknowledged the Boards' approval of his candidacy as an indication that they are not completely dissatisfied with his performance. Al Jasser noted that being entrusted with another five years in his role is significant, especially for someone of his age who might contemplate retirement. However, he emphasized that witnessing the work done by the Islamic Development Bank is a blessing.

The chairman highlighted that the bank's efforts in recent years have yielded important results, even in the face of challenges. He stated that despite the difficulties encountered, every moment of their work has been worthwhile. Al Jasser concluded by expressing gratitude to the member countries for their continued trust.
