Baku: Regional integration and digitalization are creating new economic opportunities for young people, said Idrissa Dia, Director of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Department of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), during the session titled 'Youth Without Borders: A Driving Force for Shared Regional Prosperity' held as part of the IsDB Annual Meetings in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Dia emphasized the role of cross-border trade in expanding markets for young entrepreneurs and highlighted how labor mobility allows them to seek employment where opportunities are available. "Advanced digital infrastructure allows a young person living in Baku to provide services to clients in Almaty, Dhaka or Dakar," he remarked.

Dia further pointed out that Azerbaijan's strategic projects, such as the Middle Corridor, the Port of Baku, and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, significantly contribute to strengthening regional connectivity. These initiatives are seen as instrumental in creating new opportunities for the youth, fostering economic growth and collaboration across borders.
