The Istanbul process was a unique opportunity to end the Russia-Ukraine war, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a statement after the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.

He noted that if this opportunity had been used, many destructions and human deaths would not have happened now. The Turkish leader also added that the powers that want the Russia-Ukraine war to continue have started a campaign against Türkiye.

According to Erdogan, his country will maintain its balanced policy regarding this war and continue dialogue with both sides.
