The evacuation process took place at the Astara state border checkpoint in the evening, where representatives of the Italian embassy successfully crossed into Azerbaijani territory.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the group included 8 diplomats and 2 civilians. The evacuation highlights the ongoing coordination and cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan in ensuring the safety and security of diplomatic personnel stationed in Iran.
