Italy: Italy plays a key role in the implementation of strategic energy projects in the South Caucasus and is one of Azerbaijan's key partners in ensuring Europe's energy security, Italian expert Domenico Letizia said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Italy is a vital link in the functioning of the Southern Gas Corridor and plays a significant role in transporting energy resources to European markets. Of particular importance, he noted, is the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), whose capacity is expanding, strengthening Italy's role as one of the main energy entry points into Europe.

The expert emphasized that Italy's participation in these projects not only contributes to supply diversification but also strengthens the strategic partnership between the countries. He assessed that energy cooperation between Baku and Rome is becoming an important element of the pan-European energy architecture.
