Italy: Italy views Azerbaijan as a reliable partner, said Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, at the 6th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Italy Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Cirielli stated that Azerbaijan primarily presents itself to Italy as an oil and gas supplier. He highlighted the significant role that energy issues play in the bilateral relations between the two countries. Cirielli also mentioned the cultural connections that foster a sense of closeness between the Italian and Azerbaijani people.

Furthermore, the deputy minister expressed Italy's support for Azerbaijan's efforts to diversify its energy sources, indicating that Italy is ready to offer advice to Azerbaijan in this area. Cirielli praised Azerbaijan for its commendable hosting of COP29, reflecting positively on the country's capabilities on the international stage.
