Jeyhun Bayramov Highlights Revanchist Mindsets in Armenian Politics

Baku: Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has voiced concerns over the presence of revanchist mindsets within Armenian political circles, particularly as the country approaches its critical parliamentary elections set for June 7. In a statement to journalists, Bayramov emphasized the importance of these elections due to Armenia's status as a parliamentary republic, noting that the formation of the government hinges entirely on the election results.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bayramov expressed his concerns about certain Armenian political figures who continue to harbor antagonistic attitudes towards Azerbaijan. He noted that these sentiments are particularly evident during campaign activities leading up to the elections. Bayramov urged the Armenian electorate to critically assess these factors and consider the potential negative outcomes for Armenia if revanchist attitudes persist.

Bayramov further asserted that Azerbaijan remains vigilant in monitoring these developments, evaluating statements from various political groups. He emphasized that Azerbaijan's policy is guided by its national interests, aiming to maintain the country's strength and leadership in the region. Bayramov expressed confidence that Azerbaijan will continue to stay ahead as a leading state, ensuring national interests are prioritized.
