Jeyhun Bayramov Receives German Ambassador Upon Completion of Diplomatic Mission

Baku: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ralf Horlemann, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA. The meeting highlighted several aspects of bilateral relations and future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Germany.

According to Azeri-Press News agency, the discussions focused on the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of political dialogue, economic and trade ties, and cooperation in various fields including energy security, green energy, transport and communications, education, healthcare, and cultural and humanitarian affairs.

The parties acknowledged the contributions of high-level mutual visits and contacts in fostering development between the two nations and explored the potential for further expanding cooperation. In particular, they stressed the importance of promoting ties between the business communities of Azerbaijan and Germany.

The meeting also addressed the current regional situation in the post-conflict period, discussing the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the reconstruction efforts in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

Attention was given to the outcomes of COP29 hosted by Azerbaijan, with discussions on advancing the climate agenda and exploring cooperation opportunities in green transition and renewable energy fields.

Minister Bayramov extended his best wishes to Ambassador Horlemann for his future endeavors, while Ambassador Horlemann expressed gratitude for the support he received during his tenure in Azerbaijan. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
