Baku: A joint investment platform between Azerbaijan and the United States is being proposed for the co-financing of strategic projects in the region, said Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at a special meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev’s Washington visit held at the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the initiative involves collaboration with the U.S. Export-Import Bank (US EXIM Bank). During President Aliyev’s working visit to the United States, discussions were held alongside the President of SOCAR and the President and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of US EXIM Bank. These talks focused on Azerbaijan’s economic development and diversification, as well as new opportunities for large investment projects. US EXIM Bank is expected to provide financial support for Azerbaijan’s projects in sectors such as energy and green transition, transit logistics, and innovation.
