Turin:Juventus has confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Norberto Neto, marking his return to Turin nine years after his departure.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the club announced that Neto has signed a deal that extends until June 30, 2027. Neto previously played for Juventus from 2015 to 2017, where he made 22 appearances and won two Scudetti, two Coppa Italia titles, and a Supercoppa Italiana as a backup to Gianluigi Buffon.

The decision to bring back Neto comes after Kamil Grabara suffered a season-ending injury. The Polish international ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during training on September 19, just days after a clean sheet performance in his Juventus debut against NEC Nijmegen in the Europa League. Grabara has undergone surgery and is expected to be out for six to seven months.

Carlo Pinsoglio was not seen as adequate cover for Guglielmo Vicario, prompting Juventus to look to the free agent market, where Neto emerged as the most suitable option. After leaving Turin, Neto played in Spain with Valencia and Barcelona, in England with Bournemouth and Arsenal, and most recently in Brazil with Botafogo.
