“By order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, we have ensured the active participation of the Civil Defense Troops, construction control and other relevant agencies, including firefighters, in the work in the liberated areas,” Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov told journalists, The Minister said that a new Mine Action Regiment was established in the liberated territories: “About 74 new mine search specialists have been trained. 120 mine detection devices were purchased from abroad. Our specialists work together with Turkish specialists and employees of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We have trained 74 new mine-detection specialists in the regiment, 120 mine-detection devices have been imported and handed over to those specialists. The newly formed regiment, together with Turkish specialists and employees of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, continues to clear mines in the area. Mines buried in many places by the hated enemy during the occupation must be cleared as soon as possible in order to carry out construction work. The area liberated from occupation is large.”

Mr. Heydarov noted that employees of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations work together to purchase not only mine detection devices, but also robots. It’s autumn, winter is coming, the greenery is drying up. Therefore, demining operations in the liberated areas will be further improved and accelerated.
