Kars: Distinguished Visitors Day of “Winter Exercise 2025” was held in Kars, Trkiye, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan told APA. The event saw participation from high-ranking military officials, including Major General Kanan Seyidov, Commander of the Combined Arms Army, Major General Ilgar Latifov, Deputy Commander of the Land Forces of the Azerbaijan Army, and Army General Sel§uk Bayraktaroglu, Commander of the Turkish Land Forces. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, participants received statistical data on the progress of the exercise, alongside an overview of the objectives and future tasks. These were displayed on a monitor and a map of the operational area, complemented by briefings from officers via video link. The visitors inspected legal informing and media management points during the execution of conditional operations.

Media representatives and visitors observed various scenarios executed by the exercise participants. Activities aimed to facilitate interoperability between units, assess combat capabilities, manage fire control, conduct search and rescue operations, and provide combat support.

In line with the exercise scenario, tasks involved the destruction of shelters, equipment, and manpower of illegal armed formations using artillery installations, armored vehicles, combat aircraft, and helicopters. Tactical airborne groups, deployed under challenging weather conditions, successfully completed combat missions in mountainous terrain. The military personnel of the Combined Arms Army from Azerbaijan demonstrated professionalism throughout the exercise.
