ALMATY — In response to escalating tensions in the Middle East, Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee has issued a recommendation to the nation's air carriers to avoid Iranian airspace.
According to Trend News Agency, the Ministry of Transport urged airlines to select alternative flight paths to enhance safety. The decision aims to "minimize risks for passengers and crews of aircraft," in light of recent developments. This precautionary measure follows an announcement from Iranian civil aviation, which canceled all flights in its airspace until 10:00 local time on October 2.
The advisory coincides with significant military activity in the region, as on October 1, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran launched a series of ballistic missiles targeting Israel.
