Minsk: Kazakhstan's Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersayin Nagaspayev, met with Belarus's Minister of Industry, Andrei Kuznetsov, to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the industrial sector. The discussions primarily focused on strengthening ties within the mechanical engineering sector, including the creation of new joint manufacturing facilities and the expansion of existing operations.

According to Trend News Agency, the Kazakh delegation's participation in the upcoming INNOPROM exhibition, an international industrial trade fair scheduled for September 29-30 in Minsk, has been confirmed. This participation is expected to further bolster industrial collaboration between the two nations.

Another key topic during the meeting was the strategic planning for the upcoming Kazakhstan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, set to take place on October 22 in Astana. This event aims to solidify a strategic framework for industrial cooperation, focusing on enhancing trade and economic partnerships and localizing production in sectors like metallurgy, mechanical engineering, chemical processing, and construction materials.

Currently, the project portfolio with Belarus includes 14 initiatives with a combined value exceeding 200 million US dollars, illustrating the depth of industrial cooperation between the two countries.
