Kazakhstan and Yakutia Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation


BAKU – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Aisen Nikolayev, head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), to discuss expanding bilateral ties, Trend reports, citing the Kazakh president’s administration. The meeting took place in Astana, where Nikolayev participated in the opening of the 5th World Nomad Games.



According to Trend News Agency, regional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Yakutia is a vital component of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia. He highlighted the potential for further collaboration in areas such as industry, trade, IT, agriculture, and the extractive sector.



Nikolayev expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation in priority sectors to further strengthen ties between Yakutia and Kazakhstan.
