Kazakhstan Debuts Pavilion at COP29 in Baku.


Baku: Kazakhstan is set to unveil its pavilion for the first time at the COP29 conference in Baku this November, breaking a years-long hiatus. Saken Kalkamanov, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, announced this development, highlighting Kazakhstan’s support for Azerbaijan as a fraternal and partner country. The nation plans to actively participate in the event alongside other Central Asian countries and Turkic states.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Kazakhstan pavilion will cover an area of 150 square meters and will feature distinct sections. These include a space dedicated to showcasing achievements in ecology, a conference hall for panel discussions, sessions, presentations, and side events, as well as a meeting hall for the signing of memorandums with international companies, banks, and partners aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.

Kalkamanov emphasized that the exhibition’s overarching goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improv
e the global environment, with particular attention to the Central Asia and Caspian regions. He noted that heads of state and executives from the Ministries of Ecology and other state bodies will work together to find solutions to longstanding environmental issues and to determine future strategies to address them.
