Kazakhstan Experiences Surge in Cargo Transportation Applications


ALMATY: The demand for cargo transportation to Kazakhstan has seen a significant increase, with applications on the international exchange platform ATI.SU rising by 49 percent. This surge is particularly notable in transportation requests from China, which have skyrocketed by 394 percent annually, though the absolute figures remain modest, according to the exchange’s press service. Growth in transportation demand is also evident from Russia, Lithuania, Trkiye, and Uzbekistan.

According to Trend News Agency, domestic cargo transportation within Kazakhstan is also experiencing rapid development. Requests for cargo delivery within the country have increased by 154 percent in annual terms and by 56 percent compared to the previous quarter. This upward trend is substantiated by data from the Bureau of National Statistics, which indicates an 18.7 percent increase in road transport cargo transportation over the first eight months of 2024 compared to the same period last year. Additionally, cargo turnover by road tr
ansport rose by 24.7 percent during the same timeframe.
