Kazakhstan Official Highlights Azerbaijan’s Role in BTK Railway Project

Baku: Azerbaijan invested substantial funds in the implementation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway project, Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways) Erlan Kulshibayev told journalists, APA's local bureau reports. According to him, the modernization of the railway line has been successfully completed.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Erlan Kulshibayev emphasized that Azerbaijan played a major role in the project's implementation. The participating countries carried out coordinated work together, and as a transit country, Kazakhstan is attracting larger volumes of cargo to this route.

Erlan Kulshibayev described the official commissioning of the railway line as a historic moment, adding that Kazakhstan is pleased to be part of this process.
