ASTANA: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ratified an agreement with the UN on the organization of the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation, Trend reports via the president’s press service.

The Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation in Kazakhstan aims to achieve the goals set by the president of Kazakhstan, including attracting 500 billion tenge in investments by 2025 and increasing IT product exports by $1 billion in 2026.

During the conference, Kazakhstan will showcase its digital solutions, including SmartBridge, SDU, eOtinish, and others, to international experts from over 60 member states of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

Furthermore, the conference will pave the way for the establishment of the UN Digital Solutions Center in Central Asia. The decision to locate this center in Almaty received backing during the 79th session of UN ESCAP. The Center aims to foster regional
digital development, provide Kazakhstani specialists with direct access to UN best practices, coordinate efforts on critical digitalization initiatives and projects, and enhance crisis management capabilities during pandemics, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Kazakhstan is recognized by UN assessments as a leading country in the Asia-Pacific region for government digital solutions.
