Kevin Costner to direct film for first time in 19 years and star in it

Kevin Costner will return in the director’s chair for the first time in 19 years — according to Deadline, he will shoot a western called “Horizon”. In addition, Costner will act as a producer and star in the film.

By recognition of the movie star and director who became famous for his westerns (the film “Dances with Wolves” won seven Oscars, including in the nomination “Best Film”), making “Horizon” was his old dream. In the center of the plot of the picture — The 15-year period of settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War.

Shooting of the picture will begin on August 29 in Utah, and casting will start next month.
