Islamabad: Azerbaijani President's Special Representative for Special Assignments, Khalaf Khalafov, has recently made an official visit to Pakistan, where he engaged in talks with key governmental figures. The visit was marked by a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Khalaf Khalafov took the opportunity to brief Ishaq Dar on the initiatives that have been implemented and those planned under Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The discussions highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to its role in fostering regional cooperation through this platform.
During the meeting, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its support for Azerbaijan's chairmanship of CICA and endorsed Azerbaijan's efforts to enhance regional collaboration. Both parties engaged in a dialogue to explore prospects for further strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
