Khankendi: The 11th Forum of Azerbaijani Youth was held in the city of Khankendi, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. On the second day of the forum, opening remarks were delivered by several notable figures, including Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President in the city of Khankendi, and the Agdara and Khojaly districts, Ilgar Isbatov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, Gulshan Rzayeva, Deputy National Coordinator of WUF13, and Anna Soave, Head of Country Programme at UN-Habitat Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Sabuhi Gahramanov emphasized the importance of active youth involvement in the restoration and construction efforts currently underway in the liberated territories. He highlighted the critical role that young people play in shaping the future of these regions.
Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, noted that the Forum is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. He underscored the profound significance of hosting the event in the liberated city of Khankendi, marking it as a symbol of progress and unity.
The Forum featured two panel sessions focusing on 'Building Cities of the Future: Youth Responsibility in National Development' and 'Cities as a System of Opportunities: Education, Skills and Employment for Youth'. These sessions aimed to engage young participants in discussions about their roles in national development and urban planning.
Baku is set to host the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) from May 17-22, providing further opportunities for dialogue and collaboration on urban development issues.
