Tbilisi: 'We approached the negotiations with the Azerbaijani side not as a standard dialogue between two states, but as a friendly conversation about common interests. We have ideal conditions everywhere, the interests of both sides are equally taken into account, and this applies to both the import and transit of gas and electricity, as well as the operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Supsa pipeline," said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a press conference, APA's local bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Georgian state had been losing tens of millions of lari in potential revenue due to the suspension of the Baku-Tbilisi-Supsa pipeline's operation. However, with the resumption of operations, the corresponding revenue is expected to flow back into the state budget.

Kobakhidze highlighted that the guaranteed volume of natural gas supplies to Georgia has been increased. He mentioned that in terms of guarantees, the volume has generally been increased. There are three main directions of agreements related to gas from the Shah Deniz field, including guarantees and two additional agreements. Under the signed agreement, Georgia obtained a greater guarantee in terms of volume than the existing one.
