Arar: Representatives of Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (KOBIA) participated in the Northern Borders Investment Forum held in Arar city, Saudi Arabia. Speaking at the event, KOBIA Chairman of Board Orkhan Mammadov highlighted the successful economic ties between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, the favorable business and investment environment created for entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan, as well as SME support mechanisms.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mammadov noted that the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Business Council provides an excellent platform for establishing direct engagement between businessmen of both countries, as well as supporting entrepreneurs’ initiatives. Mammadov also stressed the importance of strengthening B2B relations, promoting joint initiatives, and enhancing institutional cooperation in translating existing potential into concrete projects.
On the margins of the forum, the KOBIA delegation also met with the Governor of the Northern Border Region, Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Sultan Al Saud, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdallah Obeikan, and Co-Chair of the Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia Business Council, Mehdi Hadi Alhatban. The meetings also featured an exchange of views on enhancing business relations between the two countries, as well as new investment and partnership opportunities with the participation of SMEs.
