Kramatorsk train station attack death toll rises to 50 – Donetsk governor-UPDATED-1

A quick snap from Reuters that Ukraine’s governor of Donetsk, Pavlo Kyrylenko, has said the death toll at Kramatorsk train station has risen to 50. That number includes five childre, APA reports citing Guardian.

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, earlier said no Ukrainian troops were at the train station when it was attacked. The mayor of Kramatorsk said there were 4,000 people, most of them elderly, women and children, at the station at the time of the attack. Russia has denied it was responsible.

The death toll from a rocket attack on a railway station in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, has risen to 39, Rada of Ukraine wrote on Twitter, APA reports.

“Please share! World must know the truth! The occupiers hit the Kramatorsk railway station with a Tochka-U, where thousands of peaceful Ukrainians were waiting to be evacuated. UPD. 39 dead, including 4 children. Voice: God, there are so many children! How many corpses!,” the tweet reads.

Two Russian missiles hit Kramatorsk railway station in Donetsk region, APA reports citing Ukrinform.

“Two rockets hit the Kramatorsk railway station. There are casualties. We are clarifying the details,” the report says.

The reported number of those killed and injured in the attack on Kramatorsk train station is rapidly rising. Reuters are quoting Ukraine’s state railway company now saying more than 30 people were killed and over 100 were wounded.
