Kyrgyz passport improves its ranking in Henley & Partners Index


BISHKEK: The Kyrgyz passport has improved its ranking in the Henley and Partners consultancy report, Trend reports.

As of the first half of 2024, the Kyrgyz passport is ranked 76th, up from 81st place in 2023. Citizens of Kyrgyzstan can now visit 64 countries without needing a visa.

Singapore continues to lead as the holder of the world’s strongest passport, allowing its citizens to travel to 195 countries either visa-free or with a visa on arrival (out of 227 analyzed).

France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Spain share second place, with visa-free access to 192 countries. The third place is shared by Austria, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Sweden, each offering visa-free access to 191 destinations.

At the bottom of the ranking are Iraq (31 visa-free destinations), Syria (28 visa-free destinations), and Afghanistan (26 visa-free destinations).

The Henley Passport Index is the original and most authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports by the number of destinations
their holders can access without a prior visa. The index includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations, providing users with the most extensive and reliable information on their global access and mobility.
