Awaza:Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan should collaborate to establish a unified tourism space, urged Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Japarov highlighted the region's rich tourism potential, which includes historic cities, mountain and Caspian routes, and a rich cultural heritage. He proposed the development of joint tourism routes under the principle of "One trip - several countries," aiming to promote Central Asia and Azerbaijan as a single attractive tourism destination.
Additionally, President Japarov emphasized the need for coordination of existing and future transport routes across Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, and the South Caucasus. He suggested that transport agencies and freight companies should focus on setting unified tariffs, coordinating schedules, and ensuring digital tracking to reduce cargo delays and delivery costs.
He concluded by stating that these cooperative efforts should enable every country in the region to fully engage in transport projects and reap economic benefits, ultimately leading to decreased transportation costs and times.
