Moscow—Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov is scheduled to visit Moscow on October 7-8 for a critical meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

According to Trend News Agency, citing the presidential press service, the announcement was made by Muratbek Azymbakiev, the Head of Foreign Policy at the Kyrgyz President’s Office. The summit, set for October 8, aims to foster greater cooperation among CIS member states in fields such as trade, economics, culture, and humanitarian initiatives. “The meeting will take place on October 8 and is expected to address significant issues related to the expansion and strengthening of cooperation among CIS member states across various sectors,” Azymbakiev stated.

The summit is anticipated to result in important resolutions intended to enhance collaboration across these diverse sectors. Heads of state from various CIS countries will be in attendance, seeking to bolster ties and address regional challenges collaboratively.
