Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to Attend World Urban Forum in Baku

Baku: Preparations are underway for Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov's visit to the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), as confirmed by the Kyrgyz Republic's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Maksat Mamytkanov, in an interview with APA. The Kyrgyz delegation aims to participate at the highest level in this significant international gathering.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Mamytkanov emphasized the importance of this platform for Kyrgyzstan, which is undergoing substantial economic transformations and a construction surge due to recent reforms. The ambassador highlighted challenges such as a labor shortage and a scarcity of construction materials like rebar and cement. Kyrgyzstan is keen on integrating international expertise in modern urban planning, architecture, and the modernization of older cities while focusing on ecological and health aspects. The upcoming forum in Baku is seen as a crucial opportunity for Kyrgyzstan to engage with global urban development standards and practices.
