Bishkek – The Vice President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan, Akhror Iminov, has been released from pre-trial detention by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek. The court changed his preventive measure from arrest to release on his own recognizance.
According to 24.kg News Agency, Iminov was arrested as part of a criminal case under Article 261 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, related to the creation of an organized group or participation in it. The State Committee for National Security alleged Iminov’s involvement in the activities of various companies related to goods transportation and logistics, as well as his participation in collecting “tribute” for the organized crime group of the liquidated crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev. This tribute reportedly amounted to approximately 30 percent of the total profit for the group’s general fund.
